VICTORY

Neither caste & colour,
Or gender & race.
All were united at the same pace.
An uncommonly common voice they raised.

Score board tallies a year,
With three months, three weeks & a few days.
Unsure of the figures to come out of this maze.
An unwelcomed welcome with water cannons & barricades.
Wrong they were who wished it to last for decades.

Grandparents mourned at the kill,
Of a twenty-year-old grandson.
For morons, this news was run of the mill.
Blinded bigotry celebrated this unfair won.

It is a long saga of the wrongs & blatant lies.
A story of peaceful protest,
History of the world will provide.
Those who still detest,
Are welcome to contemplate & rest.
