Winds

Wind  will  soon, Spread its wings. Those buried leaves and twigs, Will shiver and swoon. There will be a strange delight, When winter will walk in shades of white. A short season from cold to frigid, With trips of dustings to blizzards of snow. And a smile will spring, When a thought springs of spring. Shehnaz Gujral

I woke up to the dream

I woke up to the dream, That I am in the countdown of thirteen hours to go. I learnt quickly that less is more. And I rationed my time and the last chore. I soaked myself in the sunlight. Kisses from the dewdrops gave me delight. That morning, my girls missed everyday preach. I decided no more to teach. I dressed the way I had always wished. Not one but every eye twitched. I walked bare foot on the grains of sand. Without capturing the moments, I made the day so grand. I shared the dream with him soon after twilight. A cloud he was, that opened up till midnight. I wrapped the day with that dream. I slept to sleep with a new dream.
