551 Years Of His lessons

Created from and comforted in the dust, Guided Guru Nanak Dev Ji to the dust. He gave the equations of life. We failed to solve in the spiced strife. Addends, equality and honesty to sum life. Subtrahends, superstitions and disparity to ease life. Multiplied selfless service and divided the earnings. Reciting his hymns ain’t helping hapless heroes. Idyllic idols He seldom sermonized. Pedant pleased the gold mines with gold divines. Abused gender, misused weapons and diffused anger, Are the crystals in our mused museums. We mastered the untaught lessons. We unlearnt the learnt lessons. We celebrate the 551 st birthday of Guru Nanak Dev Ji, the founder and first Guru of Sikhism. Since his childhood, Guru Nanak Dev Ji had an unusual calm demeanor and was very spiritual by nature. He led an exemplary life and his principles are even valid in the present-day world. Guru Nanak Dev Ji is said to have travelled far and wide across  Asia teaching people the ...

Not sinful men

Sinner sounds synonym to many men. Pigeonholed bloke fettered in biased bars. Bigot burden he carries like a blind man’s stick. He resolves to dissolve the toxic masculinity.   Victim of assaults, he seldom resolves. He is the Albatross without wings. He zips his lips to wry labels. Saline drops drizzle from his macho eyes.   Patriarchy puzzles and he covers tears with lies. Follies and fears he twists in these arms. Mr. Chauvinist and Mr. Misogyny the baptized names Hulking hunk sulking at mundane identity.   Try to trust these humans, we call Men. Sons, lovers, fathers and friends, our own men. Foot note:  International Men's Day is celebrated every year on November 19. The day is observed to honour the achievements and contributions of men and boys to the nation, society, family, partner and children .    Let us revive our faith in men and build a conducive environment so that they can share their feelings, emotions, sh...

Movement

Blinking her dazed gaze, All she saw was haze. Boldened herself to declutter the cluttered fears. A dusty world trotting to pierce. Adios! Slime coated nervous lass. Cindrella shoes she swapped for canvas. Knots of labels and dogmas unwrapped. Urn of ills, gore and sadism she trapped. Insipid to colorful renaissance she discovers. Tattles, tales and scandals she recovers. She builds dams for flooded eyes. Chromatic hopes she sings in rhythm of cries. Twilight of scandals trembles at her light. Ipseity and liberty her golden right. It is the story of a girl in the so called 'Modern World of Gender Equality'.Passing through the thick and thin, she could understand that no one except her own self can stand tall as a pillar to safeguard her. Like a wounded tigress, she is all set to battle for a fair place in the unfair world.
Drained door knocked like a whore. Tiny tips and toes twitched at the touch. Clean slate scribbled, wiped and scratched. Her upturned palm like a Lily flower bloomed for a day.   Drained door mocked more. She shied in the trance of trinkets and tassels. A brand-new bride to third hand bride groom. Numbed mum of four on her first night.   Drained door creaked at the call. Bargained bride bridled by her man. Brittle tears wiped her smiles. Her fasts for his feasts festooned her fair self.   Drained door forlorn with termite. Barren womb, female in her womb. Cramps and labored breathing after 9 months. Alas! Nine travelled ten times to bear the heir.   Drained door felled on expiry date. Frigid goblette frown in the wait- room. Like Autumn leaves buried in bin liner. A big rag doll ditched in a dusty sack.   Drained door enameled once more. Drained door welcomed the gore. We talk of Patriarchy ,Women empowerment and many such strong move...

WISH LIST

I wish a luxurious life, Simple living with no strife. Brands and boutiques ain’t the posh. Slave free of inane fame.   I wish to be with me this lockdown. Locking the cyber space for a serene space. No net will mollycoddle me the best.   I wish to break chasm of virtual and real. No what’s app from the alienated world of work. Fluttering my new wings of joy.   I wish to bury the keys kissing the browser. Group tasks are like a chain gang. Updating soft wares in wary windows.   I wish no checks from the circle of   cheques. Tears and laughter, I serve in blogs. Web page is the cobweb of mind clogs.   I wish a dial telephone and a time piece to set. Watching sunrise and sunset holding cozy hands. Chasing butterflies and paradise in land of sands and castles.           [SG1]

Laws of Universe

Fluttering flight in the blue skies. Sparrow flitting flock with sun kissed wings. Chirruping as dawn light hymns. Elliptical wings like helicopter rotary blades.   He sparrow cheeps at her broken wings.                                                 She tweeted, “Honey! You fall if you fall for me. My broken wings whinge to hike no far.” Shivering chirps, she crash- landed on dunes of sand. Explosive flight and lauded lover landed on desert land. Sky to sand, lovers laced in the lost land.                                        ...
