Be your own friend

For a day Be your own friend. Set a new trend. Feel the kiss of breeze. Bless yourself when you sneeze. Hug the warmth of the sun. That is the ultimate fun. Wear a mask & sanitize social wires. These are nonetheless but virus. Sip your coffee & dip your crumbled cookie. Inhale blended aroma of coffee grains. Stand in shower for a minute or hour. Lather soap or play with bubble jar. Throw the umbrella & dance in rain. If you wish not, don’t catch the train. Pamper yourself on a dinner date. Welcome yourself at the entrance gate. Do what you wish to For a day. You will be your best friend, For all coming days.

VICTORY

Neither caste & colour, Or gender & race. All were united at the same pace. An uncommonly common voice they raised. Score board tallies a year, With three months, three weeks & a few days. Unsure of the figures to come out of this maze. An unwelcomed welcome with water cannons & barricades. Wrong they were who wished it to last for decades. Grandparents mourned at the kill, Of a twenty-year-old grandson. For morons, this news was run of the mill. Blinded bigotry celebrated this unfair won. It is a long saga of the wrongs & blatant lies. A story of peaceful protest, History of the world will provide. Those who still detest, Are welcome to contemplate & rest.
