When I am red hot, Touch me not. Blazes will rise, Amber will fall, Try no test, I will rise and rest. You may go for a new quest. When I am crystal drops, Touch me not, When I pour down, Smell me in mud. Feel me in blubbering breeze, I will babble at rabble. You may go for a new quest.

Under the blanket of stars and moon, Gachak and peanuts in pockets.  Gather old and  young around bonfires, The festival of warmth in season cold. Farmers crop on Rabi crops. They crop  labour to make harvest. Days of gloom will now bloom. Golden streaks will give golden grains.  Lohri of 2021 is diverse.  Bonfire in a secular universe.  Farmers in tents and on tractors. Manacled with mean and meaningless. Bonfire craving for cruel laws. Quenches its thirst with futile farm laws. Burns down and dies with wood and corns.  Red -hot it blazes with bluff laws. In the present time, the concept of Lohri is all about bonfire,  food baskets, and dancing to the tunes. Lohri in 2021 has a new meaning,  a message of bonfire in a Secular Universe.

I meet the dark, Waiting for light. My watery eyes in the light, Waiting for shades of night. I see the halo, In dark and bright. I tarry for flakes of snow, I run for rainbows. I wish dawn at dusk, I wish for spring in autumn. Quest for peace in protest, Life tests with no rest. I will see the sparkling stars. In darkest nights. I will touch the twilight, To feel the lit light.

When did we meet last? Did I listen to you in the past? You and I are on fast. We are like half-bloomed buds. When will you whisper in my ears? Chasing the chasm for years. To get or forget! My only fears. Soldering to fill the pierce. Lost in the frills of trills and shrills. My soul I have locked in grills. I will rise to meet it with thrills. We will be enveloped in ecstatic prills. I will pluck it back from far off bands. I can see it in lands and sands. I can see it in twigs and wands. Soul I seek from His hands. When will we meet next? I will ransack for till I rest.
