A Girl in Afghanistan
Another girl born in Afghanistan.
She lives to mourn her fate.
Fateful land stolen by Taliban.
Bombs and blood served in her plate.
Her twinkling eyes once gazed at the stars,
Those eyes are blurred sobbing the dead.
This time, she sees her land in scars.
Flooded beneath her feet is red.
History of Taliban is here to repeat.
School campus echoes with boom boom.
Standing at the threshold, Afghanis accept defeat.
Bearded men have ripped the buds to doom.
Books and degrees fueled for bonfire.
Strangulated dreams, she is a commodity in cage.
Dreams of her set on pyre.
Like a Lioness, will she ever pounce on with rage?
