Not so Secular

He was whipped and she was ripped,
This story of love was eagerly nipped.

Pedant of faith defined fate.
Ah! They came to rescue the bride, though late.

Setting the rules of honour,
They separated the lovers professing as dishonour.

They stole the love of groom and bride.
Sowing the seeds of discord was pride.

This story of love and hate,
Tell me, how do you rate?
