This too shall pass….

Peeping out of the window,
Here goes the majestic caravan,
Of cats, dogs and squirrels.

Hearken to the gated walls,
Of containment zones and breathless balconies,
Tweets, chirrups and coos bring buoyancy.

I step into the windows of livelihood.
Like a shield to virus, tips served to boost immunity.
Covidiots sink in the saturation of humanity.

Flouting beasts disguised as loyalists,
Suck the men with shady deals,
Of Remdesivir, Plasma and Oxygen beds.

Floating bodies in ponds and lakes,
Take the holy dip with algae and scum cakes.
Unclaimed numbers sink without takes.

Peeping out of the window, commotion of cylinders and folks.
Langar is served in oxygen to panting men in masks.
Withered hope and flourished despair, this too shall pass.
