Once more….

Our love bloomed like a new apartment.

Our love ventilated in the four walled walls.

White-washed walls with no stains.

Was it our love with no pains?

Time played its tricky tricks.

Oh! Damp walls with crusty stains.

Monsoonal air we waited to pass.

Brush and strokes satisfied the walls.

Calm closets embraced the garments,

Gender lessons learnt the hangers.

Choked closet pukes the garments,

Knots and wraps new learns of the hangers.

Candles treated us with scented treats.

Music and roses served for dinners.

Two decades forth and we wait for dinners.

News and calories, we serve for dinners.

Ceiling glowed with chandeliers.

Sparkling lights lighted us more.

Curtain of glows fell upon us.

This time ceilings glowed with cobwebs.

We unwebbed the cobwebs of conflicts.

We reached difficult-to-read spots.

We sponged the walls of webs.

Ah! Stains stayed in our webbed eyes.

Teak wood door with chimes.

Welcomed the guests in all times.

This door now creaks, gurgles and murmurs.

We oiled moans and strains.

Solitary shelf was unwatched.

Mossed it was without watch.

We sprayed it with sprightly spirits.

Its empty space is filled with vast.

Gold-plated looking glass

We touched it with each rise and fall.

It winked and laughed at the flaws.

Wet wipes rusted the plated glass.

A crack in the corner shows the flaws.

We polished the crust of rust.

We filled the cracks with gold.

Golden journey immortalized with fractured glass.

We live in the old house.

New it was two decades back.

We have refashioned the house to home.

Floorings and ceilings no more shimmer.

Slips and falls we sing with giggles.

Our love bloomed like a new apartment.

Our love ventilated in the four walled walls.

FOOT NOTES:

Life is all about accepting positives, rejecting negatives, embracing love and abandoning hatred. Compromises, acceptance, respect, patience and tolerance are the ingredients to preserve a healthy relationship. This special Pandemic year has given a new meaning to many perspectives. Staying under one roof and spending both quality and quantity time with your partner has been a challenge for many. Some learnt to swim, some learnt to drown. Many smiled and a few frowned. It has an abstract affair and you call it love affair!
