Not sinful men

Sinner sounds synonym to many men.

Pigeonholed bloke fettered in biased bars.

Bigot burden he carries like a blind man’s stick.

He resolves to dissolve the toxic masculinity.

Victim of assaults, he seldom resolves.

He is the Albatross without wings.

He zips his lips to wry labels.

Saline drops drizzle from his macho eyes.

Patriarchy puzzles and he covers tears with lies.

Follies and fears he twists in these arms.

Mr. Chauvinist and Mr. Misogyny the baptized names

Hulking hunk sulking at mundane identity.

Try to trust these humans, we call Men.

Sons, lovers, fathers and friends, our own men.

Foot note:

International Men's Day is celebrated every year on November 19. The day is observed to honour the achievements and contributions of men and boys to the nation, society, family, partner and children.

Let us revive our faith in men and build a conducive environment so that they can share their feelings, emotions, shed tears, cry at heartbreaks, worry for fears, and laugh at joys.

Together we will strive to get enlightened towards gender equality, breaking the shackles of Patriarchy.
