Soul and Flesh

Twining in life and death.

Soul and flesh connect like transom.

My flesh resting on the morose bed.

A chorus repeats “Rest in Peace.”

Mind’s core unmindful of rest.

Unchaperoned confinement with freedom from flesh.

Psychopomps summon my soul to sanguine breeze.

Flesh lustrated by sandalwood rituals and embossed nameplates.

Sole flights to reach the promised land.

Soul fights to thud into the forbidden land.

Poignant pendulum plays the muffled mocks.

Cacophony of Karma talks melt my wings.

Oh! My stained soul in the Saturn’s rings.

Dichotomy of deeds; sour and sweet.

Rhapsodies of praise in saccharine tastes.

Mounds of mistakes in bitter makes.

Waxed wings I whinge.

Wigwag in far and near horizons.

I clunk with a crash.

I fly and land with mended wings.

Silken bodies  wrapped in silk worms.

Shedding the memories off the body like a silkworm.

Mortal mortgaged by the heirs in the name of will.

Leave me to seek some peace.

Incognito body with heinous deeds.

I slink in the rough ride.

Rippling wind usher the stinks.

My soul, allow me to Rest in Peace.
