Someday …Some night….
Day and Night desired to meet someday.
Common cronies, the council members
came to counsel:
Gandhari to Dhritarashtra, were
these close companions to Day.
Cerulean
sky, Salty sea, Tangerine clouds and Raging
raindrops.
Tell me more about dreamy night, pleaded day.
I am studded with diamonds winking at me.
The big dipper hangs bright on me.
Tangerine clouds narrated its tiny tale:
We play hide and seek under the moon.
Sky is the silken spread to sit and stare.
My mood swings swing high and low.
I am the tide switch turned on and
off by moon.
Ringing chimes and jazzy tones .
I am the cuckoo bird to the dozing
folks in the dark of night.
Day and Night desired to meet
someday.
Common cronies, the council members came to counsel:
Gandhari to Dhritarashtra, were these close companions to Night.
Cerulean sky, Salty sea, Tangerine clouds and Raging
raindrops.
Tell me more about dazzling day, pleaded night.
Cerulean sky stated so:
Pearly white at sunrise, Pinkish wash at sun set.
Romantic in the gray sky, depressed in cloudbursts.
Tangerine clouds narrated its tiny tale:
Thin wisps to thunderheads,
Gazed by wanderers wandering in dream lands.
I am the poetry of poets.
Lovers toss and twist in union with me.
Sun and sand color me gold.
Bikinis and Bermudas sizzle in saline me.
Raging raindrops revealed:
Petrichor, the Marijuana to aroma lovers.
I toy puddles and paper boats to tiny tots.
Mirage moon to day; Fantasy sun to
night.
“Swap to seduce sun and moon”, said day and night.
“No change in loyalties”, chorused in choir,
Cerulean sky, Salty sea, Tangerine clouds and Raging raindrops.
We are unlike the narcissist man.
He errs and calls himself the best.
He is like a brook, noisy but shallow.
In mess or stress, he will tuck his tail to make a tale.
Chirpings and chirruping cheer in day.
Flowers flower and sprouts sprout at dawn.
Bats, Owls and Tigers spring out at dusk.
Lovers meet and whisper love songs at night.
Day and Night dated like never tasted frosted cupcakes.
Entered and exited at the exact time.
Day shaded the iridescent shades of night.
Night silhouetted the streaks of day.
Blessing in disguise, is it not!
